This is Tweety the squirrel because she used to tweet tweet. In the meantime, we also rescued a baby squirrel, a baby crow, a kingfisher chick, sparrow(s?), a hen, pigeons, and a hawk. One of the happiest days of my life, hands down. Then we adopted Simba who was the fluffiest German Shepherd puppy ever to grace the face of earth.

Unfortunately, he was a horndog (literally) and ran after a bitch never to be seen again. Later, we moved to Bihar where my uncle's Pomeranian, Sniffer forcibly thrust his company upon us so we had to adopt him (I was thrilled, by the way). (I have never claimed to be the most creative kid on the block.)Īnd then, we rescued a kitteh from the roadside. I had a little army of cuddly bunnies to play with! :') I also owned a pair of Angora rabbits who procreated at an astronomical rate. My first pet(s) was an adorable fleet of stray dogs who made a permanent residence in our front yard when we lived in West Bengal. And ever since I can remember, our house was always home to critters we found abandoned/adopted. Because it gave me the two greatest loves of my life- books and animals.Īnyone who knows me closely knows that I adore animals.

In fact, I consider my childhood to be absolutely fucking awesomesauce. Please don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, nor am I bitter about it not in the slightest. And on top of that, dad worked for the government, so we moved around a lot and I could never forge a long lasting friendship with anyone. For some reason, they didn't like me very much. Definitely not the variety who'd hiss at other kids in the playground and scratch them, but I never got along well with children my age.

My parents tell me that I had always been an anti-social child. This is going to be more of a tribute than a review, so those who are into skinning puppies recreationally, exit right.
